Commencement Dance

Whitney was so excited for this date. She was asked two months ago when a gorilla rang the door bell and left a basket of bananas with the quote "I would go bananas if you would go to the dance with me." Tyler lives down the street and we have been camping with their family and had the most amazing time last summer at their cabin. They are such a neat family. For their day date they played beach volleyball, had a water balloon fight and had a slip and slide over a ramp that went into a pool. The weather was amazingly hot and then they got to joy ride in his aunts red mustang convertible. They had a large group which they were all good friends so it was a lot of fun. Our camera was wigging so I used Whitney's camera and I dropped it on the driveway. The shutter is stuck open and I can't get the pictures off of the camera because of a card error. They looked so cute together. So this is all I have. Bummer that I broke her camera. Oh well she had the most amazing time.

Happy 11th Birthday Brinley

You know your kids are getting older if all they want for there birthday is clothes. We went shopping the night before and she picked out four outfits from Aeropostale. I have to say I love the prices better then the other stores. We then found matching jewelery and flip flops.

11 Things We love About Brinley

1. She is smart like her dad.
2. She has amazing hair. She will never have a bad hair day.
3. She can draw the cutest things like smiley faces and frogs. She can create the cutest things out of anything. She made animals and people out of tootsie roll brand fruities.
4. She loves her dad. Whenever she needs anything or has a problem or concern she always goes to her dad.
5. She's a math whiz! Her ISAT scores prove it and the other day she was adding the total of our bakery bill faster then the college aged girl could.
6. She is not consumed about what others think. She doesn't have to be in or popular.
7. She's loyal. She has the same friends since preschool and kindergarten. But she doesn't have to be with them 24/7.
8. She is becoming an accomplished piano player.
9. She has an amazing memory and can remember songs and stories and repeat them word for word.
10. She knows right from wrong and feels the Holy Ghost prompt her.
11. She has a beautiful singing voice but you won't hear it very often. She is still shy even though she can be the loudest child in our house some days.

Spencer Becomes An Aggie

Spencer decided to go to Utah State University. Home of the Aggies! He is planning on staying in Snow Hall with a friend. We are excited for him since it's far enough away that he will feel like he is away from home but close enough that he can come home once in awhile. There are quite a few kids who have chosen to attend Utah State so this will make the transition more enjoyable. We love Logan we had a great time visiting when Spencer played Lacrosse down there.

Whitney Returns Home From Paris

Whitney had a wonderful time in Paris. Lucky! She loved all of the architecture and how everything was so old. She loved their crepes and introduced to our family Nutella. We ate it for about a month making crepes. Shopping was fun. She went to her favorite store H&M. Someday they will have one closer to us. The Louvre, Versailles, and Notre Dame, were amazing. Areva rolled out the red carpet and treated them all like royalty and showered them with tons of wonderful gifts. They loved seeing the countryside while riding the TGV (high velocity train). The George Besse Facility was impressive and gave them confidence of what will be built here at the Eagle Rock Facility. They went to a crocodile farm after meeting with the mayor of the city of Pierelatte. The funny and surprising part of the whole trip was when they got to Paris she witnessed how crazy they drive. They just pull into a spot and bump back and forth like bumper cars when they try and parallel park. She thought they were worse then the students in the student parking lot at Idaho Falls High School. That's saying something since we have had three incidents this year with our vehicles! As soon as they got off the plane camera crews were there to ask them questions. They didn't take into consideration they had all been up for 24 hours and were sleep deprived and wanted to take a shower and go to bed. Whitney was interviewed and when we watched it on the news we were surprised how well she did. She was surprised as well since she doesn't remember what she said, it was all a blur. A few days later they had a press conference with the mayor and it was quite impressive. I am amazed at the talent and quality of these kids I am glad they are our future we need them. Tonight they will present again as they meet with the Idaho American Nuclear Society at a dinner.
